I have the honor to acknowledge the receipt of your letter of the 19th Instant and have much pleasure in enclosing you a return of the Practice made by the Hongkong Volunteers, which I must take the liberty to remark was very good, particularly considering that it was the first course of Musketry Instructions, which the Corps had gone through.
